Our Services

Supported Living Services (SLS)
This service typically involves providing a residence and support to persons who cannot live in their home without such services or who need outside support to remain in their home. Habilitation services are provided in the person's residence and in the community directed toward increasing and maintaining the person's physical, intellectual, emotional and social functioning. Habilitation services such as daily staff intervention due to behavior problems, medical conditions, physical deficits and/or lack of adequate survival skills are also provided. Currently, Mykkanen's provides SLS services to adults with developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, mental illness and other disabilities. The homes are located in the cities of Annandale, Buffalo, Cokato, Hutchinson and Litchfield and in the counties of McLeod, Meeker and Wright.

In Home Family Support (IHS)
This service provides support to a person with disabilities and their family, in the family's home and/or in the community to enable the person to remain in their current home setting or to prepare the person to move into another setting. Services are provided in the person's residence and in the community directed toward increasing and maintaining the person's physical, intellectual, emotional and social functioning. The services of assisting the person to increase their capabilities to care for themselves and maintain their home is also provided. Some persons receiving In Home Support may also qualify to receive Respite services. Please see "Respite" description below. Currently, Mykkanen's provides IH services in Carver, McLeod, Meeker, and Wright counties to persons who primarily live with family members.

Respite
This service provides support staff to remain
in the client's own home and care for that person with a disability a specified amount of
hours or days while their family takes a brief break.
Currently, Mykkanen's provides
Respite to people in McLeod, Meeker and Wright counties.

Crisis Respite Services (CR)
This service provides specific short-term care
and intervention strategies to a person due to the need for relief and support
of the caregiver and/or protection of the person or others living with that
person. Services include addressing both medical and minor to moderate behavioral needs.
Currently, Mykkanen's offers services to Minnesota individuals who qualify
for this service as determined by the individual's county case manager
Training Services
CPR and First Aid
American Red Cross instruction of infant, child and/or adult CPR
Cost: $75 per person.
First Aid and CPR Refresher
Cost: $40 per person
Behavior Intervention, Positive Behavior Support Strategies and Therapeutic Boundaries
Cost: $60 per person
Mental Health Certification
Cost: $99 per person
Medication Administration
Cost: $80 per person
Medication Administration Refresher
Cost: $35 per person
In Home Training Day (includes Behavior Intervention / Therapeutic Boundaries, CPR refresher and Medication Administration refresher)
Cost: $90 per person
